‘Teddy bear’s picnic’ First birthday party theme
This was such a fun party to plan, and the teddy bear picnic theme is perfect for a first birthday. With most children this age still crawling, toys on picnic blankets and cuddly teddy bears are perfect! This makes for a great morning or afternoon tea party, and the colours can be easily adapted to suit your taste.

There are so many great apps developed to help with all elements of parenting and life, these are some of my favourites!

First birthday gifts for boys
With Master A turning one recently, and another eight first birthday parties to attend (didn't think that part through when we formed a mother's group of all May babies!!) I've seen a lot of gift ideas!! I thought I'd round up some of my favourites in a few price categories, catering for those buying for their son, grandson, nephew, family member or friend!

Currumbin Valley is mainly known for two things – the Currumbin Valley Rockpools, and the Eco Village. Visiting both of these places…

Kooroomba Vineyard & Lavender Farm
A perfect weekend drive, the Kooroomba Vineyard & Lavender Farm is located at Mt Alford, which is just near the town of Boonah in the Scenic Rim. We headed out on a Sunday morning (in what should be mid-Autumn, but still feels like Summer!) for what was an easy drive from the northern Gold Coast. The road is sealed the entire way and not too bumpy, and there were few others on the road either. No matter the time of year you visit, you’ll be able to experience a meandering sea of vivid violet as you wander around the six hectares of vines and lavender fields, as they have been…
