A cafe with a playground – we’re there! Nobbys Shack at Mermaid Beach is a rare unicorn in the world of parent-friendly cafes, and once word gets out this is going to be THE place for cafe dates with children in tow.
From the front, you could be mistaken for thinking Nobbys Shack is just a small ‘juice bar’ style cafe. However, take a short walk past the cafe tables to the doorway at the back of the cafe and you’ll find a large open air deck filled with picnic tables and a playground! Grab a spot in the sun and let the kids play while you enjoy your coffee. Serving up a delicious menu for breakfast, lunch or dinner (check opening hours below), you’ll find a great range of meals made from fresh, whole foods.
Nobbys Shack at Mermaid Beach is really building a community space, not just with the children’s playground but also holding community events. Join them every Wednesday night for Open Mic night and enjoy dinner with a cocktail, or head in on a Tuesday at 9.30am for their Mums & Bubs bootcamp.
