Looking for something unique to occupy the kids? Got out-of-town visitors and want to take a day trip? Or simply looking for a date night (well date day) option that’s a bit different to the usual? Mount View Alpacas is located at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyard, filled with alpacas just itching to be hand fed, cuddled or walked. Haven’t you always wanted to #selfiewithanalpaca? They are so incredibly social that some of them are even used as therapy animals and visit our hospitals!
Book an Alpaca Experience and take your very own Alpaca for a walk around the yard, give it plenty of pats and definitely lots of food! Family friendly, the alpacas come with two leads – one for an adult to hold and one for a child to hold. Adults need to be holding the lead at all times (remember that they can run and kicked if they get spooked).
You’re free to roam as you please for your 30 minutes and be sure to snap heaps of photos! You can book different experiences and types of encounters depending on your passion for alpacas – Training a baby alpaca looks like fun! Once our time was up we walked them back to the pens and said our farewells – the staff were lovely enough to snap a group photo too as a memento of our time together!
While you’re at O’Reilly’s Canungra Valley Vineyards, you can also enjoy a wine tasting at the Cellar Door, dine overlooking the grape vines, or pre-order a gourmet picnic hamper to enjoy beside Canungra Creek – the options at the Vineyards are endless.
