Kurrawa All Abilities Playground is possibly the most popular fully-fenced playground on the Gold Coast! It’s not hard to see why, spread over a huge area, full of big shady trees and packed with plenty of play elements, it is every kids delight!
First up check out the slide hill – a huge hill that you can either climb up or take a ramp to the top, and then jump on the slides to get back down again. While the slides are metal, there are shade sails over the top to keep everything cool. Here you’ll also find a great set of swings catering for up to 5 children at once. Beside the slide hill you’ll find the flying fox, of which there are two. First there is the standard swinging seat, but there is also a fully harnessed seat for those who need more support to participate. There’s also a basket swing here, and some interactive panels.
Over the other side of the Kurrawa All Abilities Playground you’ll find the nautical themed area, with a submarine and sandcastle tower to explore, both of which are fully wheelchair accessible! Here you’ll also find a Sway Fun boat and a fully harnessed swing spinner. These elements are all perfect for early walkers right through to primary schoolers so everyone is sure to have fun.
There’s a fully accessible toilet block located inside the playground, and a number of seating options throughout the playground. There are no tables or picnic shelters within the fenced space, however you’ll find plenty of picnic options outside of the fenced area.
