This has to be one of the best parks on the southern end of the Gold Coast – a learn to ride track, a playground for toddlers and older kids, basket ball court, grassy field, picnic shelter and toilets!! It’s easy to see why Galleon Park is always a popular spot no matter the day of the week.
The playground was upgraded in late 2021, and features a number of pieces designed to cater for a wide range of ages. A small section (the toddler area) is under a shade cloth, while the rest of the playground relies on shade from the trees around. There are slides, climbing ropes, a flying fox, swings and see saws.
Right beside the playground you’ll find a fabulous learn to ride track, filled with roundabouts, traffic signs and crossings. It’s perfect for trikes, bikes, skates, scooters and skateboards. There is plenty of seating for parents to keep a watchful eye from.
Extra features in this parkland include a picnic shelter and BBQ, a modern toilet block and a basketball court. There is heaps of grassy, open space so be sure to bring along a picnic blanket and settle in for your visit!
