Coronet Park at Burleigh Waters has long featured in my post Learn to ride tracks for Gold Coast Kids, and is a highlight of all the bike tracks on the Gold Coast.
Spread out across a huge green space, the bike track sits alongside a small sand based playground. The bike track features obstacles, bridges, ramps and speed bumps, looping around and allowing kids the option to just keep riding! Perfect for those starting out, as well as those looking to learn some new skills and tricks on their bikes.
There are two additional play spaces – the shade covered sand based playground has a slide, swings and a digger. It’s a very small playground, but it’s a nice addition to the bike track. There is a second playground without shade cover, that has two types of flying foxes on it – a seated one, and a hanging one. This is better for the older kids, but the little ones can use the seated flying fox if assisted by an adult.
There are no toilets here, however there are two picnic shelters and a BBQ. This will be a popular park for locals keen for a spot for their kids to take their bikes for a spin!
