With a huge indoor kids playground and dedicated dining space, modern bistro dining can be enjoyed by all the family. The main bistro area is light, bright and airy, reminiscent of a modern restaurant – there are no stale and musty tavern vibes here!! A great menu and tasty daily specials, you’ll easily find something to enjoy for lunch or dinner. But most importantly, The Wattle Hotel is one of the best family friendly dining spots I’ve seen! There is a large indoor playground for kids aged 4-12 years, and a special dining area right alongside it for easy supervision of the kids. Be sure to call ahead and book a table in this sought after area.

The lovely owners welcome visitors to their farm through seasonal Market Days and Farm Forage sessions. They really love sharing their farm with visitors, and their open days offer the chance for you to enjoy everything that’s special about their farm. Feed the cows, pigs, goats and chickens, explore the farm and the river, purchase fresh produce at The Farm Larder, and enjoy gourmet Jersey Girl ice creams made from milk from their cows. Bring your own picnic from home, or grab a bite to eat from the food trucks and market stalls that often join them on Market Day. There is a beautiful shady lawn with stunning countryside views where you can sit back, relax and enjoy your picnic. A day at Tommerup’s is packed full of fun, but most of all, you’ll find country hospitality and a genuine, friendly welcome to this family farm. With a fabulous play structure and tunnel slide, nature play teepee, swings, nature walk and basketball courts, there is plenty to occupy everyone here. We loved the musical elements, all the climbing features, and the hidden nature play elements. This is a space children can move easily through, exploring and discovering new things all the time. Dig in the sand and you might find a dinosaur, skip across the logs and see what animals are hiding, play on the swings or get active with the rock climbing wall and basket ball court. My family love cruising, in fact my husband and I have been on 11 @royalcaribbeanaunz cruises (totalling 95 nights at sea)! Since having kids, we’ve cruised 3 times, and I can happily say it’s an even better experience when you’re traveling as a family. Royal Caribbean have some of the biggest and best ships in the industry, and while we aren’t quite lucky enough to see some of the mega ships here in Australia, Brisbane is a home port each year for a Royal ship which means easy access to your holiday. No flying to Sydney just to begin! For the past few years we have seen Quantum of the Seas located in Brisbane, so this article is mostly regarding this ship, however in the 25-26 season Voyager of the Seas will return to Brisbane instead – and I’ve been on this one a few times too and it’s actually one of my favourites, so I've included some info about this ship too!
