Tucked away in Murwillumbah you’ll find the Tweed Regional Museum which showcases the natural and social history of the Tweed area. This is a small but modern museum, filled with fun and engaging exhibits, including two permanent and one that changes seasonally. It’s FREE to visit, and a great spot to spend a morning with the kids.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary
Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a lush, 27-hectare outdoor space connecting wildlife and nature with the community. There is so much to see and do: Cuddle a koala, pat a kangaroo or book a hospital tour - whether paid or free, there are so many opportunities to interact with the animals and see the Sanctuary in action up close. Pimpama Sports Hub, Pimpama
The Pimpama Sports Hub is home to the northern Gold Coast's state-of-the-art aquatic centre with Olympic-standard 50m swimming pool, netball and tennis facilities and heaps of other recreational and sporting options. Built on a 14-hectare site, it has a large outdoor events space for things like Carols by Candlelight and outdoor movies, and also a community centre. The cherry on the top is the children's playground and walking trails, making this an inviting hub for families to visit any day of the week.
