Albert Park at Broadbeach Waters is home to a beautiful, shady playground, that also happens to be fully fenced! With toilets in the parklands and plenty of easy car parking, this is what I like to call one of the ‘unicorns’ on the Gold Coast!
You’d never realise that this is only moments from Southport Burleigh Road, as it is a peaceful oasis amongst the trees and by the lake. The fully fenced playground is located closest to the car park, and only 100m away there is a public toilet. The playground includes plenty of interactive panels and equipment easily accessible to toddlers, including slides, swings, bridges and a see-saw. Primary school aged children will appreciate the flying fox and swinging ropes.
There are a few picnic shelters nearby, but not particularly close to the playground. I’d recommend instead bringing a picnic blanket and setting up inside the fenced area. There are some nice pathways around the parklands, perfect for a pram stroll or a scooter ride if you want to extend your stay.
