Tarte Beach House at Currumbin is the sister venue to Burleigh’s Tarte Bakery, and located right alongside Currumbin Creek, beside the Currumbin bridge. This show stopper venue is without a doubt one of the best water side cafes you will find on the Gold Coast, and is super family friendly!
While the Tarte Beach House Restaurant is located on the upper level and strongly recommends bookings, the Tarte Beach House Cafe is on the lower level, opening out to Currumbin Creek and is for walk-ins only. Here you can grab a table under the patio, or by the shade of the huge trees and Parisian-style black and white striped umbrellas. Enjoy all day brunch, coffee, cocktails and fresh juices, and specialty pastries, as well as a kids menu.
For those with older children, they can easily head off to spend some time on the sand while you wait for your orders. For those with younger children, you might opt for takeaway instead, and bring your picnic blanket to sit on the sand by the creek. It’s a great spot for splashing around in the water, and would make a perfect mum’s group catch up – coffee, cake, and a paddle! On the other side of the small carpark beside Tarte Beach House, there is also a small and simple playground, but it all adds to the fun of a visit here.
